Taylor Swift named billionaire by Forbes as Eras Tour, music catalogue and more amassed massive $1B fortune after the Grammy winner took home the prestigious artist of the year award at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards
The most famous newcomer is, of course, Taylor Swift, whose record-breaking, five-continent Eras Tour is the first to surpass $1 billion in revenue,” the business magazine explained in a new article published Tuesday, highlighting celebrities who made their annual list.
The 34-year-old pop star amassed an estimated $1.1 billion fortune, based on earnings from the blockbuster tour, the value of her music catalog and her real estate portfolio
According to Forbes, Swift is also the “first musician to hit ten-figure status” solely based on her songs and performances. Other celebrities who made the annual list include NBA legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson and French fashion designer Christian Louboutin.
Swift’s Eras Tour, which kicked off in March 2023, was the highest-selling tour worldwide.
The announcement of her billionaire status comes just one day after the Grammy winner took home the prestigious artist of the year award at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Swift could not attend the Los Angeles-based awards show in person, but thanked fans for their support in a pre-recorded video that played on the big screen at the Dolby Theatre.
”To the fans, it’s completely up to you to choose how you spend your time,” the “Bad Blood” singer said.
“What concerts you want to go to, what music do you want to make the soundtrack to your life, and to anyone who has included me in those choices, I’m so, so, so thankful for that.”
The “Love Story” crooner recently returned home from a romantic vacation in the Bahamas with her NFL star beau, Travis Kelce.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, also 34, has attended many of Swift’s shows over the past year. He even jetted off to Australia right after his 2024 Super Bowl win to support his pop star girlfriend. The Eras Tour is set to end in December 2024 in Vancouver, Canada.
Up next, Swift’s 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” drops April 19. In celebration of the upcoming new music, SiriusXM is launching an entire channel dedicated to the musician, “Channel 13 (Taylor’s Version),” from April 7 through May 6
