Queen Camilla proves critics wrong as she wins over nation with her unwavering support
Just like politicians the popularity of the royals goes up and down in opinion polls, but these results are fascinating none the less.
It’s incredible to think that as Charles’s mistress Camilla Parker Bowles was once described as the most hated woman in Britain. But now as Queen the public have taken her to their hearts and the more they see of her the more they like her.
While the King and the Princess of Wales have been battling cancer, Camilla has stepped up her duties and she has seen a three per cent surge in favourability in the last three months.
She hasn’t changed her style and has just been herself, but people have warmed to her calm personality and self-deprecating sense of humour.
I admit I had my doubts she would cope in the spotlight but so far I have been proved wrong and Camilla has played a blinder.
It’s no surprise that William and Kate are still the most popular royals – they are the glamorous golden couple and very much the future of the monarchy
