Kate Middleton news latest: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘found out about royal’s cancer on TV’
The Sussexes issued a statement wishing “health and healing” for Kate Middleton after she revealed her cancer diagnosis but it is claimed that they found out off the television
Prince Harry and Meghan found out about the Princess of Wales’ cancer diagnosis off the television, it is claimed.
Kate bravely spoke about how cancer had been found in tests after having successful abdominal surgery last January, in a video address. And now it appears that the Sussexes have since had a private conversation with her but were not aware of the cancer before the public announcement.
The Sussexes have had a strained relationship with the Royal Family since moving to the United States and this has been made worse by interviews by Harry and Meghan where they have been very critical of the way of life.
Soon after Kates’ announcement, the Sussexes issued a short, heartfelt statement. It read: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”
But The Times reported: “Several sources confirm that there were no such conversations and it is thought Harry found out about Kate’s diagnosis from television, at the same time as the public.”
Following Kate’s announcement on Friday the Waleses have thanked people from around the world for their messages of support. Kate and William said they had been “enormously touched” following Kate’s revelation she is having chemotherapy.
The King, who aims to lead the family in a show of unity on Easter Sunday, has spoken of his pride in his beloved daughter-in-law for her courage in speaking out. Royal sources said Charles, who is also fighting the disease after being diagnosed in February, is hoping to make the journey to St George’s Chapel in Windsor next weekend to reassure the public amid incredibly testing times for the royals.
