Jason Kelce Speaks Out About Travis Kelce’s “Classless” Behavior During Recent Ceremony That’s Been Receiving A Ton Of Backlash
The Kelce brothers had graduated from the University of Cincinnati but hadn’t been able to celebrate that accomplishment until this past weekend, and Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce did so in their typical style.
Jason and Travis Kelce held an event on Thursday at the University of Cincinnati’s Fifth Third Arena for their “New Heights” podcast. In the end, they would go on to receive the diplomas they had already earned years ago
Travis Kelce celebrated the moment by shaking the hand of UC’s president, Dr. Neville Pinto, and then chugging a beer before he slammed the can on the stage while the Beastie Boys’ “Fight For Your Right” played in the background.
Not everybody was thrilled to see Travis behaving this way. In fact, many social media users took to the comment section and blasted him for being classless.
One person is speaking up for him, and that person is Jason Kelce.
The former Philadelphia Eagles center defended his brother Travis Kelce in a post in response to a fan criticizing the Kansas City Chiefs tight end for chugging a beer at the pair’s “commencement” ceremony during their recent New Heights Live podcast event at the University of Cincinnati.
In reaction to a fan who attacked Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for drinking beer during the pair’s “commencement” ceremony at their most recent New Heights Live podcast event at the University of Cincinnati, the former center for the Philadelphia Eagles defended his brother in a post.
“Doing what you did at a playoff game in Buffalo is one thing but doing that at the college where he got kicked off the team for acting like a jackass prob wasn’t best idea,” a fan initially asked Jason on X (previously Twitter) regarding his brother’s “graduation antics.”
In response, Jason clarified that since the diploma ceremony wasn’t the brothers’ official graduation ceremony, there was no reason to be concerned.
“I know it looks like a graduation from the video, but this was actually at the end of a New Heights Live podcast that we put on to raise money for the University’s NIL. The university did this to poke fun at my brother and I for never really picking up our diplomas,” he said.
