4 Edmonton Oilers are invited to Team Canada’s training camp for 2026 Olympics! Details 👇

Hockey Canada has invited four forward and defense players from the Edmonton Oilers to attend its National Teams Orientation Camp in Calgary from August 26–28, 2025. This off‑ice event brings together men’s, women’s, and para hockey athletes to begin the journey to the Milan‑Cortina 2026 Olympics .

 

 

The Oilers players invited:

Connor McDavid (Forward)

Zach Hyman (Forward)

Ryan Nugent‑Hopkins (Forward)

Evan Bouchard (Defense)

Connor McDavid is already confirmed on Canada’s preliminary Olympic roster, originally separately announced in mid‑June among only six players .

The other three—Hyman, Nugent‑Hopkins, and Bouchard—were competitive additions to the 42-player pool. All three are town on Canada’s radar and could vie for final roster spots during camp and the early 2025‑26 NHL season .

These four Oilers are tied with the Golden Knights for the second‑most NHL players invited to orientation camp; only the Florida Panthers had more invitees (5) .
