Michael Schumacher’s social media channels have broken a five-month silence following the F1 legend’s first public outing since his devastating 2013 accident. While on a ski trip in the French Alps, Schumacher endured a catastrophic accident that drastically altered his life.

With updates on his health closely guarded, his family has closed ranks to protect the privacy of the German icon. At 55, Schumi’s ex-Ferrari boss Jean Todt shared some heartfelt words with L’Equipe last December, saying: “Michael is here, so I don’t miss him. He is simply not the Michael he used to be.”

In an affectionate revelation, he added: “He is different, and is wonderfully guided by his wife and children who protect him. His life is different now, and I have the privilege of sharing moments with him. That’s all there is to say.”

Amidst stringent privacy, it’s believed Schumacher made a hush-hush appearance at his daughter Gina-Maria’s nuptials to Iain Bethke in Majorca back in September.
